We are currently accepting applications for the following positions at J&D Manufacturing:
Summer/Seasonal General Production
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Perform duties required to meet production demand. Includes assembling and
packaging of ventilation systems and other J&D products.
• Candidates must be able to accurately read a tape measure, walk and stand on hard
surfaces for extended periods of time and lift up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.
Qualifications & Additional Information:
These temporary positions are Monday–Friday plus OT, 7AM-3:30PM starting at $10.50/hour
from April/May until August.
Experience in manufacturing is a plus.

Production Scheduler
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of J&D Manufacturing.
Duties include ensuring that all components are available for production runs, reviewing and distributing
production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress
of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, and production
problems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Create work orders throughout the day for various reasons, as needed.
• Communicate order status and projected ship dates to Inside Sales.
• Address Bill of Material components & routings that are set up incorrectly and work with appropriate
people to get them corrected.
• Run plan in MRP system.
• Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used,
and customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
• Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess
completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
• With direction from manager, review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and
staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
• Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages,
backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management.
Qualifications & Additional Information:
A Bachelor’s Degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience.

Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer
Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production
processes including time studies, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, line layouts,
production coordination and Bill of Material and Route review.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Plan and design manufacturing processes & inspection points.
• Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of production lines and workflow, tooling &
equipment, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
• Communicate with all departments to establish acceptable standards & process controls.
• Initiate and take ownership of process improvement projects.
• Lead corrective action teams to identify root cause, effective solutions, and implementation
to improve processes throughout manufacturing, while focusing on workmanship and
product quality.
• Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems
to promote efficient staff & facility utilization.
• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information
to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
• Record or oversee recording of information to ensure that engineering drawings and
documentation of production problems are current & accurate.
• Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and engineering drawings to formulate
corrective action plan.
• Observe workers operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved
and fatigue rate using timing devices
Qualifications & Additional Information:
A Bachelor's Degree; or minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Temp to Hire
Perform duties required to meet production demand. Includes assembling and packaging
of ventilation systems and other J&D products.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assemble components of ventilation systems and other J&D products.
• Verify work orders with blueprints, materials, and production schedule.
• Gather materials for packaging.
• Package and prepare product for shipment.
• Communicate with and assist other workers in work area.
• Follow good housekeeping practices.
• Assist in identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Perform necessary quality checks as required.
• Follow all safety precautions and use protective equipment as required.
• Identify and immediately correct any safety hazards in work area.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for generating team spirit and creating and maintaining a personal
attitude and work environment that fosters the highest level of employee cooperation,
morale and satisfaction.
Qualifications & Additional Information:
Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Maintenance
Ensure that all production machinery is kept in good operational condition by conducting
routine, preventative maintenance and fixing problems with machinery as needed.
Provide maintenance operations for the building, plant, and company vehicles.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue
to run smoothly.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform
other maintenance actions, following work orders.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking
blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Order new parts as needed for machines.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose
machine malfunctions.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Assemble new equipment.
• Assist in workstation development.
• Manufacture required jigs and/or workstations.
• Maintain facility both inside and outside.
• Plow, shovel, and sweep facility using a Bobcat and other equipment.
Qualifications & Additional Information:
• An Associate’s Degree; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
